I am a Romanian artist living in Loughborough. My primary interest is in ceramics
but I have also undertaken projects in a wide range of media including film,
drama and photography. I also paint traditional religious icons.

in a Community College course, over the winter of 1990-1991. This was on the
occasion of retiring from full time teaching, as a handicraft specialist,
metal and woodwork and allied subjects.

and I was born in 1936. I started painting at a very early age and attended
the Oswald Bage School of Drawing for some years from the age of about 11.

Chris was born in Harrogate, North Yorkshire in 1950.
He came to live in Charnwood Road, Loughborough, in the early 1960s at the
age of 12, when his father began working as a lecturer at what is now Loughborough
University.

Loughborough based artist David Carbone was born
in Leicester. David's mother is Leicestershire born and bred and his father
came from Italy.

Was born in Melbourne, Australia. She also lived
on the sea coast in Sydney for 16 years. Dorothy came to Charnwood in 1976.

Loughborough based performance artist Evelyn Silver
was heavily involved in the early days of youth theatre and performance art
in the area. She organised performance arts events at the 'Pink Room' venue
in Loughborough.

My first experience of making bears was in 1996 when
after trying other needlecrafts I attended a two evening Teddy Bear workshop
in Loughborough, and I've never looked back since.

raw and naive art, the work of Hundertwasser and Paul Klee, and fabric and

the Lone Ranger or the Black Knight, the Man in the Iron Mask or Ned Kelly.
Perhaps it was masks from further flung traditions such as the carved wooden
masks of Africa and Tibet.
